I began my horticultural journey in my late 30’s (It’s never too late folks). I was in dire need of some structural framework in my life. Which is something I had never given myself. So off to Carrick on Suir I went, I started a QQI level 5 in Horticulture there. Loved it. I then went on to Kildaltion College in Piltown, Kilkenny for a level 6 Horticulture. I loved that too. Onward it continued to SETU (WIT) for a Bsc. Level 7 Horticulture. I didn’t love that one so much but I got through it.
All through the years of various employment and travelling around I usually ended up working in some kind of level of horticulture and gardening.
I have been working on and off in the field of Horticulture for well over 10 years. I love nothing better than to share my knowledge with customers, offering advice on planting Hedging and Trees.
(Before that I had lived a life of a heathenistic vagabond. I still do really).
Currently I live and operate a small nursery from my family home, just outside of Grangemockler, south Tipperary, Ireland E32W656.
